Just Blogging

It has been so long since I have been on here. Lots has happened in my life. My back for one. I hurt it, will be a year in June, at work and it is getting worse as time goes by. It is so very painful. I have taken so many different pain drugs it is not even funny. None really help, so now I have to see a surgeon. I actually went to see him last week but the one doctor did not send over all my other test results. Wasn't that just great. So now I go back Wednesday. I do not know how much more I can take. I am limited to only 4 hours of work a day at my job. I am used to a 40 hour work week. Really hurts the pay check and they just gave me another 25 cent raise taking me up to $13.56 an hour. I am topped out so they only time I get a raise is when our union fights over our contract, which they have been doing and just settled after a year of fighting so we also got a retroactive pay check this week for the last year. Mine was for $300.00, not a lot but every little bit helps. As for my husband he is still working 7 days a week on an average of 8 hours a day. He was averaging 6 hours but was put on a new route and new pushes so it all changed and I can see the change in him. It is wearing on him. Jordan was deployed and is now back in the states for some combat training and then off for some more schooling in California. He needs to do all this so that he can go into Iraq and protect the chaplin's while over there. He will be trained in so many areas by the time he is done he will have one hell of a resume when he gets out of the military if he chooses too. WOW! Bobby just found a job after being unemployed since August of 2008. So that is a good thing. He is still with Meghan and they are doing good. I met her when I was home In December and she is a very nice young lady. He is so happy with her. Steven is still job hunting, he says. He has a very beautiful daughter that I wish I lived closer too so that I could spend so much more time with her. My niece Lindsey broke her collar bone sledding the poor girl. Here she brings her grades up and earns the Hollister sweat shirt I promised her and she can not even try it on yet. My other 3 nieces all made the honor roll I am so very proud of them. I made it through my daughter birthday very well this year. I remembered so many fun times she and I had together and all the laughs we shared. It was very peaceful and a loving day for me. I am also enjoying connecting with more and more family members on facebook. It is a great way to keep tabs with each other even if only once and a while and to say hello. It is any easy way to stay in touch and find out how my grandma is doing to. I miss her so and miss seeing her. I miss the visits we had. She could always make you laugh with her stories form her childhood and mine. And could remind you how tough things were back then. I wonder if things will ever get that tough again. Our economy is not the greatest and many people I know are out of jobs and losing their homes. Just living here in Vegas I have already seen so many homeless people and hungry people, will it get worse? It is so sad. A great deal of them are veterans that is was really saddens me.
